The Institute was established in August, 1990 as “NIRMAL ITI”, mainly due to the efforts of Sri. P. Narasa Reddy Garu , former irrigation and Revenue Minister and Ex-M.P. The main aim was to promote Technical Education, Self Employment and Entrepreneur-ship in Social, Economically remote backward areas and youth of United Adilabad Dist. In the year 1992 the name of the institute was changed as “RAJIV GANDHI ITI “in the memory of Ex-Priminister Late Sri.Rajiv Gandhi. The institute is situated at NIRMAL, “ THE GATEWAY OF UNITED ADILABAD DISTRICT “ . Presently the name of the institution is RAJIV GANDHI Pvt. ITI.
Initially the institute offered Electrician and Welder Courses with an intake of 40 and 20 students respectively. Later two more courses in Fitter and Mech.Diesel were added. Recently two more courses in Dress Making and R & AC would be started from this academic year. Two more courses in Agricultural Sector; Soil Testing and Horticulture are in the pipeline.It is the best campus with 17 acres of land out of which 5 acres are earmarked for the institution. All labs are well equipped and modern. The institution is financed and Managed by Exhibition Society, Hyderabad.
The Managing committee/ Governing body consist of 15 members nominated by our sponsoring body Exhibition Society, Hyderabad. All managements strive to uphold highest traditions of the institution and relentlessly work to make our institution the Best in the state of Telagana.
